Air temperature

Temperature is the base quantity describing thermodynamic state in the system. Air temperature is a temperature displayed on a thermometer or a different temperature sensor, which is located in an instrument shelter 2 metres above the ground. Temperature is measured in degrees, depending on the accepted scale, or on absolute temperature scale, which uses Kelvin (K) as a unit. The measurement unit for temperature in Poland is degree of Celsius (°C).
